In any case, please prepare a

reference of your paper.

- Microsoft Power Point 2007
- 1024x768 LCD projector

Specifications and recommendations for electronic slides
preparation
- Highlight
your results; do not show all the contents of your paper: 15-20 slides
are typical for 20 minutes of presentation
- Every slide should have a
short clear title
- Maximum 9 lines of text on
each text slide with 10 words maximum per line
- Page Setup instructions:
- Slide orientation :
Landscape
- Recommended Styles
- Use large fonts for
clear visibility as Arial
- At least 36pt for
titles, 28pt for details
- Use short phrases, not
full sentences
- Text colour contrast:
- High contrast is very
important
- For lines/text on dark
background
- Foreground: White or
yellow only
- Background: Dark blue
- For text/lines on a
white background
- Foreground: Black or
dark Blue only
- Background: White
- Figures and Graph
- Keep figures and
graphs simple
- Make text in the
figures readable
- Use at least 20pt
font
- If the image is
scanned, the quality depends on the scan pixel resolution. For
reasonable quality use about 100 dpi. Scanning at higher dpi will make
your file big and may slow your presentation
The poster presentations are scheduled
on Wednesday, October 13 from 17:00 to 18:30 and on Thursday, October
14 from 14:10 to 15:20. Please, display your poster several hours
before your session. Authors can find their schedule in the full
programme.
During the poster session, authors are requested to be available at
their respective poster board location to meet with interested audience
members.
The Poster session is a unique
opportunity for you, the author, to provide further insight and network
with your peers in an informal fashion. There will be a designated
area where the poster can be displayed
on boards with the reference of your paper as indicated in the
programme. Please review the full
programme to identify the reference
of your paper.
You will find guidelines for the
preparation of posters below.
- Poster space
- A
vertical area of 85 cm x 120 cm (approximately A0 format) is available
for the poster.
- Recommendations
- Provide
an introduction or outline, and a summary or conclusion.
- Use bullets charts,
equations, photographs, figures, tables... to highlight the important
technical content of your paper.
It
may be useful to have some copies of the whole written paper submitted
to ESREF.
Simply
posting a copy of the pages of the paper may result in a poor
presentation for the poster session.
- Recommended styles
- The title should appear
in letters of at least 5 cm high.
- Try to make all the
lettering easily legible from a distance of at least 2 meters.
- The minimal dimension of
graphs and charts should be greater than 20 cm.
